Day 1: Drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park.

At 6 a.m., pick up clients at Hotel Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park for 6 or 7 hours with one stop at Msolwa for bites and a cold drink before continuing with the safari after you check in. You will have lunch and then 3 hours to relax before an evening tour to Maasai village.

On evening arrive at the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Full game drive in Mikumi.

After breakfast depart with packed lunch for a full day game drive. Mikumi, a relatively small (3230 square kilometers) national park lies 300 kilometers west of Dar-es-Salaam and is the closest park to the capital. There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants, and close to the water holes you can also see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, and eland.

After a full day game viewing drive back to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mikumi to Dar es Salaam.

After breakfast, walk to Mikumi Genesis snake park and do a 2-hour morning zoo tour. Later, you will experience an en-route game drive as you slowly drive along the main road of Mikumi National Park {50 kilometers) from gate to gate so you can take pictures. Then, drive to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive in the late evening and be dropped off at the airport for flight to Zanzibar.
