Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara.

Pick up from Arusha in the morning with our safaris guide and depart for Lake Manyara National Park. You will arrive on lunch time at the lodge and after lunch you head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. This Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the Park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyaras unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Arrive on evening at the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Descend Ngorongoro Crater.

Depart after breakfast 8:30am with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro crater game drive until lunch time. Afterward proceed with the game viewing around the Munge River and the only salt lake in the Crater with the huge concentration of flamingos as well as other resident’s water birds alongside the Lake.

Arrive on evening drive on the rim of the crater at the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive from Ngorongoro Crater to Serenget Plains.

After breakfast leave the lodge with your picnic lunch, you head towards the Serengeti National Park. Leaving the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands behind you, on this day it’s an optional to visit the Maasai village in Ngorongoro; afterwards you descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

You head to the central Park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Park, featuring the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area.

Arrive on evening at the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  Full day game drive in Serengeti Plains.

Be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement). Floating silently above the awakening bush, while spotting wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of the Serengeti..

Do an after-breakfast game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, and which is good for possible lion, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich and cheetah sightings. The Visitor Centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive.

This nicely designed center offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. In the afternoon you will follow the Kopjes Circuit, which goes anti-clockwise around the Maasai Kopjes, which usually attracts a number of lion and leopard.

Arrive on evening at the lodge in followed with a nice sunset view, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti plains en route game drive to Mwanza town. (Transit from Ngorongoro to Arusha town).

Enjoy breakfast depart with picnic lunch beside you while on game viewing en route to western Serengeti via grumeti river straight to Mwanza town drop off on evening at a lodge for dinner and overnight. (Evening flight to Dar es Salaam depends to your schedule).

Another option on this day after breakfast in Serengeti you will depart with transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport via Ngorongoro on transit, instead of driving to Mwanza town which takes 3hrs drive from Serengeti.
