Day One: Arrive Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where you will be met by a Ubuntu Journeys representative and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe.
Entebbe is a small, quiet town located on the shores of Lake Victoria and is easy to explore on foot or local transport on motorbikes known as “boda bodas” or local taxis. Visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre where you can see and learn about Uganda’s native wildlife, local markets to buy clothes and crafts, curio shops for souvenirs, and the Botanical Gardens on Lake Victoria where you can walk among beautiful trees, watch monkeys moving through the canopy above, and spot many indigenous bird species. Entebbe has a wide variety of restaurants serving many different cuisines as well as several bars and clubs where you can sample the local beer, catch a game of football and chat with the local Ugandans, known for their open and friendly nature.

Day Two: Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, you will meet with your guide and drive for approx. 7hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Mweya sector for game drives. Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, leopard, lions, hippos, buffalo, Uganda kob, baboon, and many species of birds and has both savannah and riverine habitat. With both a riverine and savannah habitat, the northern Mweya area is traversed by the equator and dominated by the scenery of crater lakes, is often occupied by large flocks of flamingos. Visitors will find vast numbers of Uganda’s unique and strange Euphorbia, or “candelabra” tree. The many nearby crater lakes and mountain ranges provide a beautiful backdrop for your Accommodation

Day Three: Game drive and Scheduled Boat trip - Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning you will enjoy a game drive in the Kasenyi plains. The Kasenyi plains is known for its huge profusion of wildlife that includes including elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes etc.
Mweya peninsula is also an ideal spot for birding offering a great chance for you to sight lots of birds on a game drive then return for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a scheduled boat trip for approx. 2-3hrs on the Kazinga Channel, for various game including hippos, Elephants, crocodiles, and different bird species. The Kazinga channel is a 32kilo-meter long channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George. The shores are dotted with herds of buffalo, pods of hippos and countless bird species. Kazinga’s shores are a haven for numerous birds, including many migratory species as they make their way south to warmer climates. The cruise also provides a spectacular view of the beautiful Mweya Peninsula and life in local fishing villages set along the banks.

Day Four: Queen Elizabeth national Park to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Drive for approx. 5hrs to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is famously known for tree climbing lions sometimes found lying about in the branches of the native fig trees. Continue to Bwindi Forest national Park that extends 331sq.kms in Southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. This park was gazette in 1991 and is considered the most diverse forest in Uganda. It was gazetted primarily to protect mountain gorillas and is also home to over 120mammals, 345 bird species and 200 butterfly species and over 140 tree species. The park contains almost one half of the world’s population for the endangered mountain gorillas. The gorillas here are trekked in the 4 sectors that is Ruhija, Nkuringo, Rushaga and Buhoma.

Day Five: Gorilla trekking adventure
After an early breakfast, your will be transferred to the briefing point by your guide for a briefing on guidelines and allocation of gorilla families before you start your gorilla trekking adventure. You will be escorted by experienced guides and trackers through dense foliage and steep climbs. This journey is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing. You will have an opportunity to be within meters of these apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities. Please note: tracking may be fairly strenuous with treks up to six hours or longer, at high altitudes, but coming face to face with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a rewarding lifetime experience. Return to your lodge for overnight. If time permits, you can take a guides community walk or visit to the Batwa cultural community

Day Six: Bwindi Forest National Park to Lake Mburo National Park
This morning we will drive for approx. 6hrs Lake Mburo NP renowned destination with lots of zebras. This park was gazetted in 1982 and consists of 260sq kilometers of grassland, wetland, and acacia woodland habitat. Lake Mburo National Park is home to a variety of game species including klipspringer, topi, buffalo, sitatunga, eland, zebra, oribi, giraffe, leopard and a variety of water and acacia savannah bird species such as the marabou stork, bronze tailed starling, and the beautiful grey crowned crane.
Upon arrival, you will enjoy a nature walk in the park in company of a ranger guide for a chance to view impalas, Zebras, bushbacks and a number of birds.
